Centre for English Language Teaching CELT
Established in 1988, the Centre for English Language
Teaching (CELT) reflects the tradition of the University,
providing high quality English Language teaching in
a friendly and attractive learning environment.
CELT is part of UWA's student Services. Our teachers
have degrees and specialist qualifications in English
language teaching. We take a communicative approach
to teaching and we encourage students to learn strategies
to become independent life-long learners of English.

International English Centre
The
International English Centre (IEC) is located on the
Claremont Campus of ECU and prepares students wishing
to pursue tertiary studies who meet ECU's academic requirements
but who do not meet the English language requirements
of the University. The IEC offers ELICOS programs ranging
from one to 40 weeks.
The Centre offers students many benefits including qualified
teachers, excellent university facilities and resources,
student support services and various study pathways
to ECU. The Centre offers a number of programs for International
students.

Foundation Program
(Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation)
The Notre Dame International University Foundation Studies
program (Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation)
is designed for Australian and international students
at pre-undergraduate level who need a bridge between
academic studies completed by the student and the academic
requirements of the University of Notre Dame. The University
Foundation Studies program is a Certificate IV course
under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
On successful completion of the Foundation Studies Program,
students secure direct entry to The University of Notre
Dame at first year level. Students who do not pass the
Foundation Studies program may be eligible to enter
the Notre Dame International Bachelor Preliminary Course.
